A Quart Henry Will Tankard Henry Will was a son of John Will of New York City and Brother to William Will, America's most famous pewterer, this dynasty was responsible for some of the highest level of designs known in American Pewter. Henry Will worked in New York City ; and Albany New York Greg Walker is Professor of Early Modern Literature and Culture at the University of Leicester. His previous publications include John Skelton and the Politics of the s (), Plays of Persuasion: Drama and Politics at the Court of Henry VIII (), Persuasive Fictions: Factions, Faith and Political Culture in the Reign of Henry VIII (), and The Politics of Performance in Brand: Greg Walker. One of the most important 18th Century pewterers was John Will. Besides being the father of three important pewterers (Henry, Philip and William) he was an excellent craftsman in his own right. This 4½” sugar bowl was previously erroneously attributed to his son William. New information suggests that his father, John, made the piece. He worked in New York City from .
